ARLINGTON, Texas - Prairie Pictures' StormStock has acquired dramatic footage of the deadly March 28 tornado that devastated portions of Downtown Ft. Worth, Texas.

A StormStock photographer captured the tornado, which occurred a few miles from the Prairie Pictures offices, as it crossed the Trinity River west of the downtown commercial district.  The footage depicts a debris-filled vortex as the twister tracks through the Montgomery Ward facility.  Power flashes explode as tornadic winds cause power lines to arc.  The heavily damaged Cash America Building is engulfed by the debris cloud as its roof is torn apart.  The tornado then proceeds east toward the Bank One Tower.  The footage, captured on DV format, offers a fascinating look at a strong tornado passing into the central district of a large metropolitan area.  The tornado was rated F-2 on the Fujita intensity scale.

Prairie Pictures' StormStock is the world's largest storm footage library and is accessed by television and film producers worldwide.  StormStock images are licensed to producers for use in television programs, commercials, music videos, feature films and interactive applications.  StormStock can be accessed on-line at www.stormstock.com.
